If you are reading this, then we probably have the same goal of achieving financial independence at some point of our life…earlier the better. So we started out with a plan, follow it until we have reached that magic number so that we no longer have to go to the same place at the same time every day, but rather live/work in our own terms. At least that’s how I envision it.

But will I achieve that, and when?

There are plenty stories of people who achieved FI in their 40’s, 30’s, or even 20’s. That’s not me. I am exactly 50 now in 2018. My journey to FI started rather late in my life when I was 44, and I plan to achieve my goal when I am 55. So I’ve got 5 years left in my plan.

If you have achieved FI, you are my hero and Congratulations! Please stop by and share your insight with me and others. If you just started, or are are in the middle of the journey like me, then please join me, witness my journey, and let’s inspire each other.

As for me, I will blog everything about my journey to FI – how I became aware of the importance of FI, how I started, the challenges I encountered, strategy, future plans, and thoughts about FI/RE. I want to share everything – hope, fear, frustration, inspiration.

Welcome to my journey.
